CURING HANGOVERS SINCE 2019

Greasy foods usually are a great hangover cure, but this, is overdone, at least in my experience anyway.

The Burgers With Bite describes the Double Stacked as;

2 x 1/4 pound beef patties, 2 x slices of egmont cheese, 2 x rashers of smoked bacon, sriracha and BBQ sauce on a toasted seeded bun.

I don't have a whole lot to say about this burger, I mean it's meat, cheese, bacon, buns, and sauce, what could go wrong? A whole lot.

The patties were good, the bacon was super legit, very thick and tasty. The buns were a surprisingly nice break from brioche, but a little bit too crunchy around the edges. The sauces and cheese were fine.

There was one major issue here, this burger was 90% oil. It was WAY TOO GREASY. I felt physically sick for a good while after eating this as my poor stomach tried to deal with this monstrosity.

The Burger With Bite website says these are "Burgers we want, but don't deserve". I have a completely different opinion here, these are burgers no-one deserves, but for different reasons.

No-one deserves to eat a burger this oily, I can only imagine the stress it would put on a persons body, after I myself was ill for so long after eating this. Nearing finishing this burger I became seriously concerned that I had made a mistake, and I would drop dead on the spot.

Jodie ordered their "Boring Chicken Burger", and it was no better, drenched in oil. Jodie had also ordered avocado on her burger and it ended up on my burger, and it was a disgraceful amount anyway, for a $2 extra.

The shocking amount of oil that had soaked into the box during delivery.

The Round Up

Price:

$19.90 for the Double Stacked. $14.90 + $2 for the Boring Chicken Burger, with avocado.

Value:

$36.80 all up puts these burgers on the higher end of the market, but the product received, did not, not even close.

I would just call this very expensive oil and bread, terrible value.

Presentation:

Delivered by Uber Eats, arrived in oil soaked cardboard boxes.

Taste:

Taste was generally ok, good balance between sauce and cheese, but with a very domineering flavour of the oil.

Sides:

None ordered.

Venue:

Ate at home, nice place, good entertainment system.

Prep Time:

Took a while, but not too long. Ordered and honestly forgot about it until it arrived.
