Elysium - Angus Beef Burger
8 / 10
The Elysium Angus Beef Burger was a great value lunch burger, had in a great venue.
The Elysium menu lists this burger as an;
Angus beef patty, cheese, mixed lettuce leaves, tomato & red onion topped with dijon aioli on a toasted bun, served with beer battered fries
And I added bacon.
I have no complaints about this claim.
This really was a great tasty burger sold at a great price, The patty was obviously premium angus beef prepared by a pro, but I expect no less from Elysium, I dine here regularly and have never been disappointed.
The service, ambience, and food at Elysium is amazing.
The burger was prepared in no longer than usual for a restaurant of this calibre, a little on the longer side in my travels, but well worth the wait.
The patty was very flavoursome, the salad and cheese worked well together, with a small tang of the onion pushing through the greater favour every now and then. The bun was toasted perfectly for my liking, light crunch on the edges, but still soft in the middle, and this aioli really wrapped things up nicely.
The flavours of this burger really blended well and complimented each-other, not in a way where I felt like I was eating cardboard, but in a way that made this burger just super easy to eat, and really tasty.
Served with some of the most lit beer battered chips I've had, very light and fluffy, with a great crunch, and flavour.
The Round Up

$15 for burger and beer battered chips, during lunch times.
Value:
$15 for the burger, and chips makes this a really great lunch deal, and a really great burger too.

Prepared on a large wooden plate, with chips stacked on the side, classic look.

Great, easy to eat, clean burger, fresh taste, and something I would order again in a heartbeat.

Super fluffy thick beer battered chips, with a good crunch, lightly seasoned with salt, truly all these chips need, very satisfying.

Placed at Victoria Point's Lakeside, can get busy but still comfortable. Great decor with an outdoor dining area, outdoor stooled area, and a very comfortable indoor area, with lounges throughout the venue and like music on weekends and throughout the week.
Prep Time:
Took slightly longer to prepare than other burgers I have reviewed, but being a nice place to site and chat I didn't mind terribly, and the burger was worth the wait.
